The wait is finally over. You can all stop bothering me now! This is the movie that Michelle and I made to show at our wedding ceremony, accompanied by live organ music. It tells the story of how we first met and so forth. Yes, it is very embarrassing, but it was also a lot of fun.
Thanks to Thom, Mike, Caroline and Matt for helping us make this masterpiece (ahem) and thanks to Chris and Claire...

So, I lied.
Wow. I promised to post some updates when I got to Hong Kong and then I totally didn’t. I am such a liar! Well, the truth is even more sinister. I bought an iPad.
Yes, I succumbed. I was even this close to buying a macbook pro as well, but common sense won through (well, this one time). Truth be told, the iPad is a pretty awesome piece of engineering, and both Michelle and I have used it...

Beijing kicked our ass
We’ve tried to pack so much into our time in Beijing that we have both felt shattered at the end of each day. It seems that our B&B is in the middle of a transport deadzone, and we ended up walking to a lot of places. Those places have been, for the most part, pretty darned excellent. Where are we now?
We are just getting ready to leave Zhongdian (Shangrila) so you might be wondering where all the photos have gone? Well, it hasn’t been from lack of trying! The wireless internet here is as reliable as…. well, a very unreliable thing. I’ll try and put a quick update here after breakfast, but I make no proimises!

Michelle says hi...

Internet in China
Those of you paying attention may have noticed that I was originally going to post travel stuff on my old blog, but then switched to doing it all here. There is a method to the madness, however, and the reason behind the switch is a little thing called the Great Firewall of China.
A lot of sites and services are blocked here, including blogger/blogspot as well as facebook, twitter and youtube. In...
