This afternoon, after working off our hangovers in the hotel jacuzzi, we headed up to Puhoi for my grandfather’s 99th birthday. He’s getting a bit frail these days and had to go off for a lie down after blowing out his candles, but I wouldn’t be suprised to see him crack 100. In fact, when we went to say goodbye to him he said “see you in a year” so he is obviously confident he’ll make it!
It was also a good chance to hang out with a few of the relatives we don’t see too often. Michelle really enjoyed hanging out with the kids (what’s that clucking sound?) and I had to pry her away from teaching Emma how to read when it was time to go.
We spent the evening with Dan and Belinda, but we left the camera at home this time. We are going to try and pop in again to see them tomorrow, so we’ll be sure to take lots of pictures of their cute boys… and the parents too! Wait, there’s that damned clucking sound again…
